Teeth Whitening

A common, economical way to enhance your smile, teeth whitening is a simple in-office treatment. While there are teeth whitening kits available for at-home use, it is wise to undergo a professional treatment first, to minimize the risk of side effects like tooth sensitivity.

We use stronger products in-office as well, which will brighten your teeth several shades in under an hour. Usually, professionals apply the agent to the front eight teeth, and the rest can be whitened with an at-home treatment, as discussed with your dentist.

Bonding

Tooth bonding is a treatment that addresses chipped or discolored teeth. To carry out the treatment, the dentist applies a tooth-colored composite resin to the affected area, after priming the tooth with a liquid that allows for adhesion.

Then, he will shape the tooth into the appropriate shape, before drying it with an ultraviolet light. The process only takes between 30 to 60 minutes, and can also be used to fill small gaps or increase tooth size. This makes it an excellent way to address the imperfections that stand in the way of your dream smile.

Tooth Contouring

For teeth that are out of alignment, uneven, or overlapping, tooth contouring presents a cheap, simple solution. Your dentist will shave a few millimeters off the tooth enamel using a laser or drill. Then, he will trim any uneven areas, even out your bite alignment if necessary, and polish the tooth.

Tooth contouring can also be used in conjunction with bonding or other cosmetic treatments to achieve optimal results. Sometimes, it can even be used in place of braces. We will work with you to determine the appropriate treatment for your teeth.

Gum Contouring

If you have uneven gums that leave you too self-conscious to smile, you may want to consider a gum contouring procedure. This procedure can be performed in our dental office using lasers and scalpels.

Your dentist will go over the positioning of your new gum line with you before putting you under a local numbing agent. Expect healing to take a few days or weeks. You will receive instructions from the dentist on proper diet, aftercare, and pain relief in the days following the surgery. Once healed, your gums will no longer be too high and you can flash your smile with ease.

Veneers

Thin coverings placed over the visible teeth in your mouth, veneers are an option to correct worn, misshapen, or stained teeth. Q Dental provides a wide array of dental veneer options for you to choose from.

Usually, veneers are manufactured from ceramic or composite resin. Both of these materials are formed and colored to resemble natural teeth. Because they are permanently bonded to your teeth, veneers are estimated to last between seven and 15 years, after which point they would need to be replaced by a dental professional to maintain their effectiveness.
